The substance abuse crisis has created a need for the creation of new theories that accounts for the etiology, transmission, and evidenced-based methods for treating the disease of addiction

Project

Research: Expand on the theories associated with Neuro- Science Biology, Addict Theory, Trauma Theory and Mental Health Theory.

The Corporation is organized exclusively as a charitable and educational research institute is a 501(c)3 and we are also Maryland Charitable Tax Commission certified. All donations are tax deductible.

According to the National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH), 19.7 million American adults (aged 12 and older) battled a substance use disorder in 2017.
Almost 74% of adults suffering from a substance use disorder in 2017 struggled with an alcohol use disorder.
About 38% of adults in 2017 battled an illicit drug use disorder.1
That same year, 1 out of every 8 adults struggled with both alcohol and drug use disorders simultaneously.

The Institute has submitted two presentations to NAADAC 2020 Annual Conference September 24-29 in Washington, DC.

The Institute is in the process of creating our own Institutional Review Board (IRB) in order to have total control of our research.
